Manual therapy

Manual therapy is aimed at people suffering from musculoskeletal pain, joint problems or reduced mobility. Through careful assessment and targeted techniques, it helps restore movement, relieves tension and restores fluidity and comfort in everyday life.

Rehabilitation
“The therapist's hands are the tools of manual therapy, guided by a precise diagnosis and expertise in movement.”

Description

Manual therapy is a treatment approach based on a precise clinical assessment and specific manual techniques, designed to diagnose and treat joint, muscle or nerve dysfunctions. It is aimed at people suffering from acute or chronic pain, muscular tension, loss of mobility or postural disorders.

As a masseur-physiotherapist trained in manual therapy, I analyse the quality of movement, joint restrictions, muscular imbalances and compensations in order to set up an individualised treatment. This treatment may include gentle mobilisation, manipulation, specific stretching and myofascial techniques.

Manual therapy is particularly indicated for neck pain, lower back pain, sciatica, shoulder, knee or hip pain, headaches of cervical origin, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, or pain linked to postural disorders or repetitive movements.

Each session is tailored to how you feel, your progress and your objectives. The aim is to act on the cause of the pain, improve the body's schema and encourage active and lasting recovery, by involving you fully in your treatment.
