Post-cancer support

Post-cancer physiotherapy supports patients during or after cancer treatment. It aims to relieve pain, improve mobility, fight fatigue and encourage a gradual return to physical activity, with a comprehensive, caring approach tailored to each individual's pace.

Rehabilitation
“Rehabilitation is an essential tool for regaining fitness and improving quality of life after cancer.”

Description

Rehabilitation after cancer is a specific form of care designed to support patients during the physical and functional recovery phase. Oncological treatments (surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, hormone therapy) can lead to pain, stiffness, oedema, intense fatigue, loss of muscle mass and postural problems.

As a physiotherapist, I work to alleviate these side-effects and encourage a gradual return to movement that is safe and adapted to your general condition. The work may include gentle mobilization, muscle-strengthening exercises, breathing exercises, postural re-education, as well as specific care for lymphoedema (drainage, bandaging, compression).

Throughout your treatment, I'll also give you plenty of advice on how to improve your quality of life daily, make it easier to carry out functional movements, manage fatigue and regain confidence in your body.

Each session is personalised, with me listening carefully to your needs, your energy level for the day and your objectives: getting back to work, regaining body comfort, restoring your body image and preserving your independence.
